With the International Golf Championship just around the corner, on the 14th – 16th November (make sure to get it in your diary!) let’s have a quick recap about what happened at the qualifier…

Firstly, we’d like to say a big thank you to all that attended! It was a great event and it was inspiring to see so many young golfers out enjoying the game, with some of the best young players across the UAE turning out in the 4 age group divisions. Here’s a reminder of our division winners;

Division 1; Tariq El-Chaib

Division 2; Max Cashmore

Division 3; Sean Cooper

Division 4; Riley Norton

Division 5; Ruairi Cooper

At this point we’d also like to give a special mention to our sponsors; Lifestlye Events, Arabian Ranches, IP Global, PGA, Acuma, Golf LAN, Taylormade – without them, the event really wouldn’t have been possible.

Looking forward, International Golf are very excited to announce huge plans for the Junior Championship from 2017. We will be holding a one round showdown event in March 2017 with scholarship opportunities available for the 2017-2018 season. Following on from this you can expect the biggest season of Junior Golf ever for the 2017-2018 season through the launch of the International Golf Junior Order of Merit commencing from October 2017. This will involve a five round series at Arabian Ranches Golf Club for Dubai residents and a one round qualifier for Abu Dhabi residents. This will all culminate in a final in March at one of the UAE’s premier golf courses (stay tuned) with invites extended to the national teams of golf federations around the world as well as invites to the winners of a leading junior championships from across the world. This round will be a one round shootout with players competing for exemptions into high profile tournaments happening throughout the world over the following months.

We look forward to welcoming the finalists to the championship for the final at The Arabian Ranches Golf Club next week and wish all players the best of luck in what is set to be a compelling three days of golf.
